description
This truly magnificent beige felt hat from the 1960\'s is a stunning example of the very best in millinery designs of the era. It is made of soft felt that has been sculptured to create an upturned mock-brim.At the back there is a large bow made from the same material.
Label: Adolfo II - New York Paris
In 1962, Adolfo opened a New York millinery salon where he designed made-to-order hats for individual clients and ready-to-wear hats for retail distribution. He soon expanded his business into custom clothing, designing for socialites C.Z. Guest, Nancy Reagan, Betsy Bloomingdale, the Duchess of Windsor and others.
This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age. Mannequin not for sale.
